About the Department

The Department of Civil engineering at ACEM plans and provides education in many Civil Engineering disciplines such as Structural Engineering, Geo-technical Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Water Resources Engineering. Technical talks by the industry experts and academia are organized under the banner of Civil Engineering Forum, for the benefit of students.

Technical visits are also arranged to enhance the practical knowledge of the students. The students are encouraged to participate in student meets, conclaves and festivals, technical competitions, quizzes and presentations, workshops, seminars, conferences and in similar extension activities of other.

Hands-on Training practices /Industry visits

Department Conducts training programs, hands-on workshop ad organizes Industry visits on a regular basis for the students to expose them to industry practices to enhance employability through expert knowledge encouraging to upgrade their skills, innovative way of thinking and renewed motivation

As a part of curriculum, department facilitates 30 days internship in reputed companies

Project exhibitions are organized and paper presentations are presented by students and faculties which add on to the overall developments of the department.

Industry Institute interactions – As a part of industry 4.0, department also focus on industry institute interaction. It helps students to have information about the requirement of the industry and this motivates them to develop themselves to that requirement. This also provides a platform for both the students and faculty members to be aware of industry expectations of skill required for students.

4.Sofware & Python in civil Engg- Autocad,Staddpro,Revite,Primavera,E-tab,3ds Max,ERP,BIM- easy integration with AutoCAD, Ramp up production and synchronization with Design and Drafting ,Python is considered as one of the most important tool in the modern civil engineering construction works.

5.Water , Waste Water & Solid Waste Management –The goal of wastewater management is to clean and protect water, A wide variety of administrative, economic, and social problems that must be managed and solve through a wide variety of administrative, economic, and social problems that must be managed and solved.

6. Hydraulic planning and Structure-A hydraulic project may be small or large, simple or complex, and single or multiple purposed, and it should provide the functions to accomplish the optimum development of related water and hydropower resources
